Ledley King retirement soon

It’s been over 2 years since Ledley King announced his retirement from playing football after experiencing a career that was plagued by chronic knee problems which forced the English defender on having to hang up his boots earlier than desired. Even with all of the injuries that troubled Ledley King, he still managed to make over 260 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur and is even considered to be one of the best players to wear the jersey of the club at the White Hart Lane.

Ledley King has recently voiced his opinion concerning the current situation of his former club. Tottenham Hotspur started this season of the Premier League in a superb form as they defeated West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers but things started to take a turn for the worse after losing against Liverpool and a few weeks later against West Bromwich Albion.

The objective that Mauricio Pochettino has for Tottenham and his squad of players is to help guide the team on reaching and securing a Champions League spot but Ledley King believes this will be a very difficult task to accomplish.

“It is going to be tough to finish in the top four this season. There’s going to be six or seven teams thinking they’ve got a chance of the top four.We are one of them but a lot of things would have to go right for us this season’’

“It will be difficult this season but long-term we have the right manager.I’m sure he’ll still want to bring in one or two players. It is going to take a little bit of time for him to get his thoughts and methods across. But we’re confident he is the right man’’Ledley King told the press.

This is debut season of Mauricio Pochettino in charge of the Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur but if the Argentine coach is unable on finishing the season in one of the top spots of the English League, his job is likely to be at risk but Ledley King believes that Pochettino is the ideal coach for Tottenham and that he will be able to get things done.
